Disney has officially announced a closing date for It’s Tough to Be a Bug at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

As stated in the Walt Disney World official website, It’s Tough to Be a Bug’s last operating day will be March 16, 2025. This means guests have around 6 more weeks to experience the attraction before it closes for its reimagining into Zootopia: Better Zoogether.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug is a 3D attraction that opened with Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 22, 1998. Located within the Tree of Life and based on the Pixar Film “A Bug’s Life”, the attraction taught guests about different kinds of insects and how they survive. Its closure is another sign of how Disney is moving away from edu-tainment in its Walt Disney World parks. It’s Tough to Be a Bug closing follows the closure of Dinorama to make way for the Tropical Americas land.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether was first annoucned in Destination D23 in 2023, and will feature all your favorite Zootopia characters in an original story for the attraction. Zootopia: Better Zoogether is scheduled to open in Winter 2025.
