What Disneyland Tickets to Book in 2026

After deciding that you want to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, one of the first things you’re going to have to think about is what Disneyland tickets to book. You not only need to figure out which tickets to buy, but also where to buy them from. This can get really confusing quickly, which is why I’m here to help. By the end of this post, you’ll know exactly which tickets to purchase and where to purchase them from.

There are pros and cons to each type of ticket, and if you know where to look you can get amazing deals that can save you a ton of money. That’s why I wouldn’t go to the Disney site automatically to buy tickets. While they usually have some pretty good deals, oftentimes the third party sites can match those deals and more. But which third party sites should you trust? We’ll get into that in this post too.

Park Reservations

Before you book your Disneyland tickets, there’s something you need to know about first: park reservations. Introduced after the COVID-19 pandemic, park reservations are an essential part of the ticket buying process. Basically, it’s not enough that you just buy a ticket to Disneyland. You also need to make a park reservation on the Disneyland website. Think of park reservations like a table reservation at a restaurant. You’re basically reserving a day for you to enter the park. This was introduced so Disney could control crowds and staffing at Disneyland during the pandemic.

When you make a park reservation, you not only need to choose what days you’re going but also what park you want to make a reservation for. Now if you bought a 1 park per day ticket, this is the park you’ll be locked into for the entire day. If you have a park hopper, this is the park you will be locked into until 11am. After 11am, you can enter whichever park you wish.

Disney has said that they will be getting rid of the 11am rule soon, which begs the question of why we need to reserve a park if we can just park hop at any time. To be honest, Disney doesn’t need this system anymore. Disney World got rid of their reservation system years ago. But Disneyland has made it clear that reservations are here to stay, at least for the near future.

When you buy tickets on the Disneyland website, they already come with park reservations. You’ll notice that the website will ask you to pick a day and a starting park. Once you’ve picked both, your ticket will have a park reservation attached to it for the days you picked. If you bought tickets from a third-party website, you WILL still have to make park reservations on the Disneyland website. Your third party provider should give you instructions on how to do this, but basically you’ll be linking the tickets you bought to your Disney account and then making the reservations after that.

Please do not forget to do this. There have been horror stories of entire families spending thousands on a Disneyland vacation only to be turned away at the front of the park because they don’t have park reservations and they’ve sold out for the day. Avoid all of this by always making park reservations for the days of your visit as soon as possible.

1-Day to 5-Day Tickets

Disneyland tickets that are available on the Disneyland website can be bought for as little as 1 day to as many as 5 days. The price of a 1-day ticket will depend on when you go. There are seven tiers available for 1-day tickets, ranging from $104 to $224 dollars a day. The lower end of the spectrum is for times of year that are predicted to have low crowds such as January and February, while the higher end is for busier times like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

That being said, because Tier 0 ($104) tickets are so cheap, it causes the parks to be inundated with guests taking advantage of the low ticket prices, increasing wait times at the park. They can even rival known high traffic days like Christmas and National Holidays. Because of this, if you’re worried about crowds, I would go on a tier 1-3 day instead. Meanwhile, for multi day tickets, the price remains the same no matter when you go. The more days you add to your trip, the cheaper the price per day becomes. You will pay $168 a day for a 2-Day ticket, $142 a day for a 3-Day ticket, $120 a day for a 4-Day ticket, and $104 a day for a 5-Day ticket.

For multi-day tickets, they expire 13 days after first use or at a pre-determined future date that is set depending on when you bought your tickets. It’s usually valid for up to 2 years. If you have a wholly unused, expired ticket, you can use that ticket to purchase a new ticket provided that the new tickets are the same or greater value than the original ticket. Again, these apply only to tickets purchased on the Disneyland website. There may be other conditions placed on tickets bought from a third party.

Park Hopping

Park Hopping is a ticket add-on that allows you to visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on each day of your ticket. By purchasing it, you get access to the park you didn’t make a park reservation for at 11am. With this add-on, you get to “hop” from Disneyland to DCA and vice versa as many times as you want on the days of your visit. Note that park hopping prices change depending on the kind of ticket you buy, with 1-Day tickets being the cheapest to add on and 5-day tickets being more expensive on paper.

I say on paper because 5-Day tickets technically add the most to your total ticket price, but on a per day basis the 5-Day tickets actually add the least to your per day ticket price. 1-Day park hoppers go from $70-$90 depending on the tier, with 2-Day park hoppers costing an additional $100, 3-Day park hoppers costing an additional $110, 4-Day park hoppers costing an additional $120, and 5-Day park hoppers costing an additional $135.

For Disneyland, I always recommend splurging on park hoppers, but if it’s not in your budget that’s fine as well. Many people go to Disneyland and don’t park hop. There’s so much to do and see in both parks that you don’t have to park hop if you don’t want to. At the end of the day, it’s your vacation and you have to do what’s best for you.

Special Offers

Sometimes Disneyland will put out special offers, mostly for California or Southern California residents. Right now, as of late 2025, they have an offer for Californian Residents where they can get a 3-Day park hopper ticket for just $249. Tickets are valid from January 1st to May 21st and the three days can be spread out during the validity period. They also have a summer offer for kids where a 1-Day park hopper ticket for kids aged 3-9 only costs $50. It’s valid from May 22nd to September 7th.

I always make it a point to check the offers and discounts section of the Disneyland website to see what their latest deals are. They usually always have a deal for Californian Residents for the first few months of the year, followed by a kids ticket offer. If you or anyone in your party is eligible for these tickets, make it a point to check them out as you could save a lot of money on tickets with these offers.

Military Tickets

Active and retired US military personnel can enjoy specially discounted tickets to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Do note that these tickets can only be bought at a participating US military base. Some tickets include both park hopping and Lightning Lane Multi pass with them.

Here are the kinds of tickets that are available, as well as their prices:

1-Day 1-Park Military Ticket: Child $98; Adult $104
3-Day Military Park Hopper Ticket (Ages 3+) $314; 3-Day Military Park Hopper Ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Ages 3+) $416
4-Day Military Park Hopper Ticket (Ages 3+) $369; 4-Day Military Park Hopper Ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Ages 3+) $505

Magic Key Passes

If you will be returning to the Disneyland Resort multiple times in a year, or if you’re local to Disneyland, you may consider buying a Magic Key pass. Magic Keys are Disneyland’s version of the annual pass. They come in four different tiers and come with a bunch of different perks and discounts. They also come with specified blockout dates per tier.

Before I break down the Magic Key passes, I should tell you that the one drawback of these passes is they aren’t on sale all the time. Disneyland will routinely make them available for sale, but will also stop selling them after a short amount of time. This means that, if the time comes and you have the opportunity to buy the pass, you basically need to commit to going enough times in a year to make the pass worth it. If you can’t commit to this, I would suggest buying regular tickets instead.

The Imagine Key is the lowest tiered Magic Key and can only be purchased by Southern California Residents. It’s the only Magic Key that is restricted in this way. With this key, you are blocked out from visiting on all weekends, the entire summer season, and most holidays and their surrounding dates. It’s the most restrictive of the Magic Keys in terms of date availability. This key also gets 25% off on the Toy Story Parking lot, 10% off dining and merchandise, and 25% off lightning lane multi pass. The Imagine Key costs $599.

The Explore Key is the second lowest tiered Magic Key. With this key you’ll have access to most weekdays and numerous Sundays, while it is blocked out on Saturdays, weekends in the high season, and the weeks of very busy holidays like Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas. This key also gets 25% off on the Toy Story Parking lot, 10% off dining and merchandise, and 25% off lightning lane multi pass. The Explore Key costs $999.

The Believe Key is the second highest tiered Magic Key. With this key, you get most days of the year, with the exception being some Saturdays in the high season and very busy holidays like Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving and Easter. This key also gets 50% off on Standard Parking in any lot, 10% off dining and merchandise, and 25% off lightning lane multi pass. This key also comes with unlimited PhotoPass downloads. The Believe Key costs $1,474.

The Inspire Key is the highest tiered Magic Key. It’s only blocked out on the weeks surrounding Christmas. The pass is valid for every other day of the year. This key also gets Free Standard Parking in any lot, 15% off dining and 20% off merchandise, and 25% off lightning lane multi pass. This key also comes with unlimited PhotoPass downloads. The Inspire Key costs $1,899.

Every Magic Key gets a plethora of other extras as well. Magic Keyholders get access to Magic Key exclusive merch for different events, get early access to Disneyland After Dark and Oogie Boogie Bash events, and get exclusive discounts to the 3 Disneyland hotels throughout the year. They also get to dine at the Magic Key terrace, a restaurant exclusive to Magic Keyholders.

Klook Tickets

Now it’s time to discuss third party options for booking your Disneyland tickets. The first option is the one I recommend the most: Klook. Klook tickets are always discounted by a couple of dollars and some of them will include park reservations and Lightning Lane multi pass.

If a ticket contains park reservations, it will explicitly say so on the Klook website while you’re booking the ticket. If the ticket you’re booking gives no indication that it comes with park reservations, then you must make park reservations yourself on the Disneyland website.

The options for Klook tickets include 1-Day and 2-Day tickets with reservations included, the Kids Summer Ticket Offer that is also on the Disneyland website, and 1 to 3-Day tickets that can also be bundled with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. To check out Klook and its deals, click here.

Getaway Today Tickets

Getaway Today is a third party provider that is reputable and has a lot of different offers. Their most famous offer is their Adults at Kids Prices offer, which is exactly as it sounds. Adults can purchase tickets from Getaway Today at Kids prices for tickets spanning 3-days or more.

They also have deals bundling Lightning Lane with tickets, as well as discounts on other attractions in Southern California like Universal Studios Hollywood. They also offer deals on Walt Disney World tickets. Getaway Today also has deals where they bundle a discounted stay at one of the many Disneyland Good Neighbor hotels with theme park tickets. I’ve personally bought this bundle before and saved hundreds of dollars.

Recommendations for What Disneyland Tickets to Buy

If you’re visiting for 3 days or less, I would recommend buying normal, standard tickets. You have no use for a Magic Key if you’re only going for 3 days or less in a year. Scour Klook and Getaway Today for the best deals available. On the flip side, if you’re going for 6 days or more in a year, then a Magic Key makes the most sense cost wise. You just need to catch Disney selling it at the right time. If they aren’t selling it and your trip is coming up, you may need to buy regular tickets.

Visiting for 4-5 days is tricky. If you’re doing 1-park per day then it makes more sense to buy regular tickets. If you’re doing park hoppers, and you live in Southern California, then it makes more sense to buy the Imagine Magic Key. The Imagine Magic Key is cheaper than the 5-Day park hopper. Granted, however, the 5-day park hopper has no blackout dates. The Imagine key does, and if the blockout dates fall on your trip days, then you’ll have to buy regular tickets.

If you’re not a Southern California resident, you would have to go for 8-9 days in a year to make the Explore Key worth it. If you won’t reach this threshold, then it makes more sense to just use regular tickets. Remember to scour every possible option before buying tickets. You never know where a good deal might be lying around.
