Shanghai Disneyland just announced its lineup of offerings for their upcoming 10th Anniversary celebration entitled “With You, It’s Magic+”. In this post I will go into detail on every single offering and give my thoughts on each one, as well as my pre-debut thoughts on the celebration as a whole. The 10th anniversary celebration begins on March 20, 2026. This means that, from March 20 to June 2026, there will be three anniversaries happening simultaneously, with Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th and Disneyland’s 70th still ongoing. The Shanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary Offerings, however, look very unique and different from the other two anniversaries, which is a good thing.

I am personally so excited for this anniversary! It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun based on what was announced. It would be nice if the park could end the anniversary with the opening of the Spider-Man rollercoaster, or announce the second park that’s been rumored for so long, but as for the anniversary itself, it seems like a solid one that should be very fun! Let’s dive right in.

Klook.comOverview and History

It’s safe to say that Shanghai Disneyland is bringing their A-game to celebrate this anniversary, which makes sense given that their first real chance to celebrate an anniversary, which was their 5th anniversary in 2021, was disrupted by COVID. I do believe that they would have gone all out for their 5th anniversary if it didn’t happen during COVID, but I’m glad that now they’re getting to celebrate the park and its 10 year milestone.
The team behind the anniversary has been working on this for 2 years. There were over 3,000 hours of rehearsal that went into this celebration. There will also be over 110 brand new outfits for the celebration, over 550 hidden “10”s and themed decor around the resort, as well as over 2,000 light up wishing stars. The main offerings of the anniversary all look incredible, and I can’t wait to see them in person.
From a new castle stage show, updates to the existing Mickey Storybook Express and Illuminate: A Nighttime Celebration, as well as many seasonal entertainment offerings and food and merchandise, the Shanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary offerings are sparing no expense when it comes to celebrating this anniversary. Like I said in the intro, I will be giving my thoughts on each individual offering, and then my overall, pre-debut thoughts at the end of this post. I will say though, while I do think the anniversary offerings are going to be amazing, I’m skeptical about whether this will surpass the other two anniversaries already happening. But let’s dive right in so I can break down each offering for you.
Klook.comWith You, It’s Magic+ Theme

The theme of the anniversary is “With You, It’s Magic+”. When I first heard of the theme, I was honestly a little disappointed. Of all the celebration names they could have picked, why did they go with Magic+. It feels very similar to Disney+, which at first made it seem like this was a bad case of corporate synergy. I though that the park deserved more than that, especially after it couldn’t celebrate it’s 5th anniversary due to Covid.
But then when the offerings were announced, I saw the genius of this theme. The plus in Magic+ is both a nod to how the wishing stars look like in Disney movies, as well as a nod to how the Chinese character for “10” closely resembles the + sign. It was then that I realized that this theme and this logo actually had a lot of layers to it, and now I’m fully on board with the theme.
As part of the theme, the park is really putting the magic and wishes motifs center stage via the decor, the entertainment offerings, and even the food. This makes it not only one of the more cohesive anniversaries ever, at least based on the images and info they’ve released, but also like Hong Kong’s Most Magical Party Of All, every single offering ties into the anniversary’s broader themes of wishes and magic. Speaking of the offerings, let’s go into each of them.
Klook.com“The Heart of Magic” New Castle Stage Show

The Heart of Magic is an all-new castle stage show debuting with the anniversary celebration. It’s the focal point of the entire anniversary, as well as the anniversary’s largest new offering. The announcement of this show comes after the previous castle stage show, Golden Fairytale Fanfare, played its final performance in April of 2025.
In the show, Mickey and Friends embark on a quest to restore the Heart of Magic. Along the way, they discover a magical realm hidden beneath the Enchanted Storybook Castle. It’s from there that they will meet a bunch of Disney friends while on their quest. These friends include characters from: Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, Mulan, Hercules, Frozen, Toy Story, Coco, and Turning Red.
The show is also going to expand physically from the castle stage via 3 satellite performance stages located around the audience viewing area, as well as bridges to connect the main stage to those stages. Disney promises “Beautiful new couture outfits, timeless melodies, and cinematic staging.” Hercules will also be making his Shanghai Disneyland debut in the show.
I am so excited for this show! I love a good castle stage show, but more importantly I love a good castle stage show with a captivating story. Castle Stage Shows can be a hit or miss because you can only do so much story-wise with a castle stage as your performance venue, but I’m really glad Shanghai Disneyland seems to have found a compelling story while also introducing unique elements to make the show more immersive. I can’t wait to see this show in person and its the one Shanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary Offering that I’m most excited about.
Klook.comAdditions to Mickey’s Storybook Express

Shanghai Disneyland also announced that two new floats will be coming to Mickey’s Storybook Express. The first is a pre-parade float themed to Duffy and Friends. It will feature all 7 Duffy and Friends on a sparkling ship with Duffy at the helm. They will also appear in brand new costumes for the pre-parade. While the float is nice and colorful, I wish they would just add them to the parade itself. In addition, I think I still prefer the Duffy float found in the Friendtastic parade at Hong Kong Disneyland. But this float is still stunning and I can’t wait to see it.

The main parade will also be receiving a Zootopia float. The float is themed to Gazelle’s concert bus and will feature many characters from Zootopia and Zootopia 2, such as Officer Clawhauser, Gary De’Snake, Nibbles Maplestick, and of course Nick and Judy, among others. The music accompanying the float will include the songs Try Everything and Zoo. This float looks stunning, and while I also again prefer the float used in Friendtastic at Hong Kong Disneyland, this seems to be a better float than the Zootopia float in Harmony of Color at Tokyo Disneyland.
While these additions are great, I do wish that they made a new parade for the anniversary celebration. The other parts of the parade are starting to age, mostly because Mickey’s Storybook Express debuted with the park 10 years ago. It’s time for a refresh, but with these new additions its clear that maybe they want to keep this parade around for a while.
Klook.comChanges to Illuminate: A Nighttime Celebration

Illuminate: A Nighttime Celebration will be receiving some new scenes for the 10th anniversary. A brand new ending to the show features Mickey who “appears in a flash of magic sparkles, wearing a majestic new magician ensemble” according to Disney. A new scene in the show will also be introduced featuring Asha and Star from the movie Wish, along with the song “This Wish”, also from the movie.
I see this as a win for the park. Similar to Hong Kong Disneyland, they’re not completely overhauling the show but instead are plussing it and letting the core show stay the same. I haven’t seen Illuminate, but I did hear that it was good so it’s a good thing that they’re keeping it relatively the same, especially since it debuted only 5 years ago.
The inclusion of Wish also goes hand in hand with the theme of wishes and magic and stars that the anniversary seems to be based on, which is good as its an addition that will hopefully be both cohesive to the show and to the theme of the anniversary as a whole. This is one of the Shanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary Offerings that I’m very excited for.
Klook.comSeasonal Entertainment
Shanghai Disneyland revealed that some seasonal entertainment will be offered throughout the year in conjunction with the 10th anniversary. These include “kicking things off in spring, energetic dancers will invite guests to join in the fun everywhere, starting moments before the “FriendSHIP! The Duffy and Friends’ Special Pre-Parade,” then for fun summer moments with Chip ‘n’ Dale at Gardens of Imagination, autumn’s playful spook-tacular cavalcade, the Winter Royal Ball’s Disney Princesses and Princes encounters, and the lively Zootopia Street Party during Chinese New Year.”
Looks like they’re following in HKDL’s footsteps and debuting seasonal entertainment that is still tied to the anniversary, which I love. I also love that they already teased offerings this early, which makes me so excited to see what they have in store.
Klook.com10th Anniversary Food Offerings

Shanghai Disneyland is introducing a lot of food offerings as part of the 10th anniversary. In line with traditional Chinese birthday culture, special noodle dishes will be served around the resort. Dishes that take inspiration from delicacies found in different cities across China will also be introduced, ensuring that the food for the anniversary is rooted in Chinese culture and traditions.
Disney has also said that “Fan-favorite snacks from the past decade will also return and 10th anniversary souvenirs — like new popcorn buckets, cups, and straw clips inspired by the park’s favorite snacks — will let you bring the magic home.”
I absolutely love the noodles idea, as well as the dishes inspired by local Chinese food and returning fan-favorite snacks. It shows that, even 10 years later, Disney is still committing to the mantra it established for the park: authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese. I also love the popcorn bucket themed to the Duffy and Friends pre-parade float.
Klook.com10th Anniversary Merchandise

Shanghai Disneyland will also debut the largest merchandise collection ever made for the resort as part of the 10th anniversary. Items include “Plush, apparel, accessories, collectibles, and more will feature glimmering designs inspired by Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, and Enchanted Storybook Castle.” There will also be interactive merchandise offerings, including a Magic Wand that lets guest collect magic around the park.
I really hope the magic wand isn’t going to be the next Key to Disneyland that people will throw away once they receive the collectible that will for sure be part of this interactive experience. That’s too much plastic waste already. But the rest of it sounds amazing, and I’m eagerly anticipating the merch that will debut with this collection.
Klook.comCostumes, Decor, Magic Squad, My Magic Star, and Collectible Tickets

Mickey and Friends, along with Duffy and Friends, will receive new costumes for the 10th anniversary. Decor will also be found all over the resort featuring “10” motifs and hidden stars everywhere you look. The Mickey Floral will also feature the 10th anniversary logo and some stars for the anniversary. Based on the video they released of the anniversary preparations, it seems like they’re going all out with the decor. It’ll be interesting to see how they decorate a massive park and resort like Shanghai Disneyland.
Cast members will also be making extra magic for guests in the form of “a lively Magic Squad dressed in shimmering outfits that will appear across the resort with surprise interactions.” I don’t know what this specifically entails, but I’m hoping it works like the Year of a Million Dreams did in the mid-2000s where they grant “wishes” in the form of special offerings gvien randomly to different guests.
Shanghai Disneyland is also debuting an interactive experience called My Magic Star so you can interact with the celebration before, during, and after your trip. In My Magic Star, you will be able to “create a personalized star, draw daily magical cards, interact with new digital entertainment, unlock special in-park experiences, and share memories with themed templates and effects.” I’m all for interactivity in the parks so I think this is a great idea. The thought that you will be able to experience the anniversary even when you’re not at the park is a game changer.

Finally, “new collectible park tickets will feature 30 Disney characters. Each ticket will include a puzzle piece that forms a complete set over multiple visits and a section of a Shanghai Disneyland landmark that can be used to take creative photos across the resort.” This seems like a cute idea, and is a good way to get people coming back over the anniversary period.
Klook.comReaction to Shanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary Offerings

All in all, I think this is an exciting time for Shanghai Disneyland. The castle stage show looks amazing and may end up being the best castle stage show ever made for a Disney Park. The additions to the parade also look spectacular, although like I said I would’ve liked it if they got an all-new parade like Tokyo and Hong Kong did for their recent anniversaries. The changes to Illuminate are also a welcome addition to the anniversary, although I wish they would include drones like they did at Hong Kong Disneyland.
I think this anniversary is going to shine in the smaller moments in particular. The decor looks like its going to completely transform the park. The food is a good tribute to Chinese culture infused with a Disney twist. The merchandise looks cute and I love that they are going for a lot of variety. The Magic Squad and My Magic Star offerings seem really unique and will definitely impact the guest experience in a positive way. It seems like Shanghai Disneyland thought of every detail when it comes to this anniversary, which is already a win in my book.

Now, on paper, while I think it’s better than Disneyland’s 70th anniversary as that anniversary brought nothing new to the park except a new version of World of Color, I think it still lags behind Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th. Again, this is only on paper and I still need to experience the 10th anniversary for myself, but HKDL got a new parade, a new stage show, and a drone show as part of its anniversary.
While I admit that it seems like Shanghai will do more than Hong Kong when it comes to the little things, and I think they will be tied when it comes to anniversary seasonal entertainment, I don’t see Shanghai’s offerings matching Hong Kong’s merely for the fact that Hong Kong’s offerings are higher in quantity and have a consistent quality. The Heart 0f Magic will for sure be better than Disney Friends Life: Party at the Castle, but HKDL debuted a whole new parade and a ten minute addition to Momentous. In the little things, Shanghai is likely going to be better, but in the big things, Hong Kong wins by a landslide.

However, as long as the anniversary feels like a true celebration of the park and its legacy, then it’s a success in my book. We can debate the merits of each anniversary all day, but each have their own strong points and weak points. None of them are perfect and we should just be glad that there are three different anniversaries happening all at once. There might even be a fourth if Walt Disney World decides to celebrate its 55th this year.
Nevertheless, I am extremely excited and hopeful for this anniversary. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Shanghai Disneyland. So why not announce that second park already, Disney? We know it’s coming, just give it to us already!
Klook.comShanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary Offerings Conclusion
Shanghai Disneyland seems to have a winner here with its anniversary. I’m eagerly anticipating what the anniversary will be like, and am stoked to see the castle show in person. There’s also a whole Zootopia land I have yet to see, which alone has me excited to visit the park again soon.
