Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) is probably in the upper half of Disney Parks when it comes to food. It’s also in the upper half of Disney Parks when it comes to food prices. HKDL food is expensive, so to make sure you get the most from your money, you’re going to want to know which restaurants are worth it. Well look no further! In this post I’m going to rank the top 5 Hong Kong Disneyland Counter-Service restaurants.

Now if you’ve been to the park, I know what you’re probably thinking. Aren’t there only 6 counter service (also known as quick service) restaurants at the park? Well yes, there are. So why exclude one of them from this ranking? Well, the answer is simply because the main purpose of this post is to help you decide which restaurants are worth eating at and which ones are not. So I have to be honest about which one is the worst and worthy of exclusion from the list. But don’t worry, I will also talk about the sixth excluded restaurant and tack it on as an honorable mention.
Restaurants are ranked based on the following: Design and Theming, Service, Food Quality and Taste, Cost, Value for Money, and Personal Feelings. As with my other rankings, please don’t take my word as gospel. I try to be as unbiased as possible, but obviously everything is tinged by my subjectivity. Just something to keep in mind. Hopefully this post is still helpful to you. Without further ado, let’s begin!

Klook.comHong Kong Disneyland Counter Service Restaurants Honorable Mention
As mentioned, there’s only one honorable mention in this section. Given that the park only has 6 quick service restaurants, obviously one of them had to not make it in. Here’s what I think is the honorable mention of the bunch.
Honorable Mention: Comet Cafe in Tomorrowland

Our one and only honorable mention goes to Comet Cafe in Tomorrowland. I truthfully have not eaten here recently. Mostly because it’s closed half the time (or even more than that), so it may not even be open for your visit if you visit during a non-peak time of year. I remember the food being fine. Their menu is focused on Japanese cuisine and consists of 4 main dishes segregated into two categories: rice and noodles.
Their rice meals include:
- Japanese Curry Pork Chop with Rice
- Baked Japanese Curry Mixed Vegetable Rice
Their noodle dishes include:
- Two Sanuki Udon Combos, one of which is a Jumbo Crab Stick and Seafood in Pork Bone Soup with Black Garlic Oil while the other replaces the Jumbo Crab Stick with Roasted Pork.
They also offer Japanese Fried Chicken Wings as a side. Their kids’ meal option is Teriyaki Chicken with Rice.

Given the fact that it’s closed for most of the year, the restaurant isn’t anything to write home about. The fifth ranked restaurant is also closed for most of the year, but the food they serve there is actually pretty good. I remember having one meal in Comet Cafe, thinking it was fine, and then never eating there again. It’s also the smallest restaurant in terms of available tables so it can fill up quickly on the days it is open. It’s also all outdoor seating, so it might not be wise to eat here on a hot day. The theming of this restaurant is also very lackluster, if you can even call it theming. You can skip this if you want to, but if the options seem good to you, then you can make a quick stop if you’d like.
Klook.comTop 5 Hong Kong Disneyland Counter Service Restaurants
Now we’re getting into the top 5. In this top 5, the top 4 are open every single day as far as I know, with the number 5 only being open on days with higher attendance. But generally speaking, the food in all of these restaurants is good and worth trying if they’re open and have table space for you.
5. Clopin’s Festival of Foods in Fantasyland

At number 5 is Clopin’s Festival of Foods. When I was in HKDL in 2023, I had a really good beef noodle soup from this restaurant. Unfortunately, for most of the year, this restaurant is closed. It’s a shame really as the food here is quite good. But with Wayfinders Table now open and World of Frozen adding another restaurant into the mix, it makes sense that this restaurant would be closed on low attendance days. This restaurant serves a mix of different Asian dishes.
Their noodle dishes include:
- Four Treasures Beef Noodle Soup, which includes beef brisket, beef tripe, beef tendon, and beef meatball.
- Prawn, Chicken, and Vietnamese Sausage Noodles in Beef Soup.
On the Wok side of things, their dishes include:
- Pineapple and Seafood Fried Rice with Pork Floss
- Braised Vegetables and Red Fermented Bean Curd with Rice.
The side consists of Butter Chicken Wings and the kids’ meal is a Chicken Breast and Mushroom Gravy with Rice meal.

If you’re planning on dining here when it’s open, take note that some tables are out in the elements. If you want to avoid getting a table in direct sunlight (or worse: rain) I recommend arriving early. Again, I have not eaten here since 2023, but I remember really enjoying my meal here. I had the Four Treasures Beef Noodle Soup and found it to be similar to Pho. The beef was tender and the noodles were tasty. The theming is alright. It’s not the most detailed, but it’s a lot better than Comet Cafe. It may not be top of mind, but if everywhere else is full then I recommend eating here.
Klook.com4. Golden Crocus Inn in World of Frozen

Coming in at number 4 is the newest counter-service dining location in Hong Kong Disneyland. Golden Crocus Inn is located in World of Frozen and has a lot of Scandinavian inspired dishes on its limited menu. And when I say limited I really mean limited. There are only four main dishes on this menu, plus a side and a kids’ meal.

Forest Mushroom Strozzapreti Pasta
The menu consists of:
- Innkeeper’s Special Braised Lamb Shank that has potato puree, roasted vegetables, and beer gravy
- Royal Chicken Roll with potato puree, bacon, cheese, roasted vegetables, and barbecue sauce
- Bayside Baked Salmon with potato puree, lemon, roasted vegetables, paprika, and dill cream sauce
- Forest Mushroom Strozzapreti Pasta with portobello, cheese, pesto, and truffle cream sauce.
The side consists of Arendelle Meatballs in Mushroom Cream Sauce while the kids’ meal is an Arendelle Pasta with Chicken Breast.

Royal Chicken Roll
My group had the Royal Chicken Roll, the Bayside Baked Salmon, and the Forest Mushroom Strozzapreti Pasta. We found all of them to be really good. The chicken was flavorful, the salmon was tasty, and the pasta was creamy and delicious. We didn’t order the lamb shank as one person in our group thought it was just ok the last time they had it.
The biggest drawback to Golden Crocus Inn is the price. It’s insanely expensive for theme park food. The Lamb Shank alone is HK$248 (US$31.92). That’s a lot for just one meal at a theme park. And the food in this case doesn’t justify the price. Sure, it’s good food, but in no way should any of the food listed be worth more than US$20. It’s also ranked here because of the limited food options. The next three restaurants all have at least 5 main options. This one only has 4.

Bayside Baked Salmon
The upside to this place is that, because it’s so expensive, people would rather eat somewhere else, meaning you’re likely to find a table at this restaurant even during peak dining hours. I was able to find a table at around 1:15pm, which is still considered peak dining hours and there were lots of tables still available. The theming of this restaurant is incredible. Many portraits of Anna and Elsa as children adorn the walls. It’s probably the best themed restaurant in the park, and for that it’s worth stopping at. But if it’s out of your price range, you may want to look somewhere else.
Klook.com3. Starliner Diner in Tomorrowland

Now we’re getting into the restaurants that I would highly recommend. Starting with the restaurant I’ve eaten at the most over the years: Starliner Diner. Located in Tomorrowland between the Tomorrowland Main Entrance and Ant Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle, Starliner Diner serves classic American fare with a Marvel twist. That’s right, it’s a Marvel themed restaurant. Although it wasn’t always Marvel-themed, the theming and food is now in line with the nearby Stark Expo attractions.

They have a pretty wide menu that includes the following:
- Gamma Combo made up of a double beef bacon cheeseburger with a Hulk-themed color and design, fries, and a Disney friends cookie
- Expo Combo made up of a wagyu beef cheeseburger with an Iron Man-themed color and design and potato wedges
- Planet X Combo made up of a wild mushroom cheeseburger with a Groot-themed color and design and fries
- Web Slinger combo made up of a prawn cheeseburger and fries
- Fried Chicken Combo with french fries.
The sides consist of chicken wings, a garden salad, deep fried cheesesticks, sweet corn, french fries, and potato wedges. The kids’ meal is a Pym Particle Kids Combo that features mini chicken and pork cheeseburgers served with a side of fries.

Expo Combo
My group had the Expo Combo, the Planet X Combo, and the Fried Chicken Combo. Without a doubt the winner was the Fried Chicken. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, with the chicken skin in particular being a highlight. The Expo Combo was also good. The bun had the right amount of heft and moisture to it, and the meat and wedges were tasty. The Planet X Combo had a really hard bun for some reason. It was almost like eating a brick, as someone in our group put it. We don’t know if it’s because she got a bad or old serving, but just something to keep in mind.

Planet X Combo
This honestly would’ve been ranked second if it weren’t for the bad Planet X burger. The rest of the meal was actually pretty good. I’ve always liked the burgers in this restaurant and have had the chicken before and it’s really good. The theming is also pretty spectacular. Aside from the large murals of Avengers characters, the food itself is impressively themed to marvel. The buns looking like various Marvel characters is pretty cool. It also has lots of indoor seating which is what you need when the weather gets hot.

Fried Chicken Combo
It’s also good value for money. The highest price is HK$155 (not including the Gamma Combo as that is exclusive to the 20th anniversary) which is over HK$100 less than the most expensive option in Golden Crocus Inn. The sides are also very varied and there are over 5 to choose from. If you plan on eating here, take note that indoor seating can get full sometimes, so you may have to sit outside. If you’d like to sit inside, dine early or late.
Klook.com2. Wayfinders’ Table in Adventureland

Now we’re at Hong Kong Disneyland’s newest restaurant, and the first and only counter-service restaurant in Adventureland. Wayfinder’s Table is Hong Kong Disneyland’s Moana themed restaurant. Every meat dish in the restaurant is Halal certified, and from what I know it’s the only restaurant in the resort with that certification.
There are five main dishes at Wayfinder’s Table:

Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup
- Wayfinders’ Roasted Chicken Leg with Gramma’s Signature Rice and includes lime, ginger, fish sauce, carrot, basmati rice, almonds, raisins, and a marshmallow cookie
- Beef Steak Mee Goreng with lemongrass, chili, hoisin sauce, lime, cabbage, bean sprouts, and sambal
- Massaman Prawn Curry with the Signature Rice and includes new potato, pineapple, peanuts, carrot, basmati rice, almonds, and raisins
- Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup with shrimps, scallops, squid, rice noodle, crispy noodle, and a Mickey-shaped egg
- Malai Kofta and Lentil Masala with the Signature Rice and includes cashew nuts, assorted vegetables, carrot, basmati rice, almonds, and raisins.

Wayfinders’ Roasted Chicken Leg
The kids’ meal is a Voyagers Chicken Naan Pizza with spinach, mango chutney, mozzarella, potato pops, wok fried vegetables, cucumber yogurt, and a marshmallow cookie. The side is a banana coconut fritters dish with coconut custard, cinnamon sugar, and desiccated coconut. There’s also a drink called an Island Delight which is a pineapple and coconut flavored slush. The other side is a fruit cup which you can also find in other restaurants.
Klook.comWhen we were there we had the Wayfinders’ Roasted Chicken, the Beef Steak Mee Goreng, the Laksa, and the Banana Fritters. All of them were absolutely superb. The Roasted Chicken was cooked to perfection, the Beef Steak was tender and juicy, the Laksa was tasty and had a little kick, and the Banana Fritters were the right amount of Sweet. My group enjoyed all the dishes equally, with the Laksa being the biggest standout of the bunch.

Beef Steak Mee Goreng
While slightly more expensive than Starliner Diner, it’s still a far cry from Golden Crocus Inn. The Beef Steak Mee Goreng is the most expensive dish coming in at HK$180. Again, still a far cry from the prices at Golden Crocus Inn.
The theming of the restaurant is also incredible. Hand-painted Moana inspired artwork lines the walls, the pillars are colored with flowers, and even the ceiling is full of so much amazing detail. I would say this restaurant has good value for money, although it is an outdoor only restaurant so it can get hot during the middle of the day and during the summer months.

Banana Coconut Fritters
1. Royal Banquet Hall in Fantasyland

The undisputed king of Hong Kong Disneyland counter-service restaurants, Royal Banquet Hall is a beast of a restaurant. Featuring the largest selection of dishes of any restaurant, the food at Royal Banquet Hall can be divided into 4 groups: International, Grill, Japan, and Entrees Royale. Each group has its own kitchen and counter where you have to line up to get the food, meaning it’s a massive restaurant.

Mushroom Tortellini
The International dishes consist of:
- Baked Pork Chop with Rice
- Meat Lover Pizza
- Mushroom Tortellini with parmesan, pearl onion, and bell pepper tomato cream.
The kids’ meal is a Silver Pin Noodle with Minced Pork with deep fried dumplings, mixed vegetables, and a marshmallow cookie.

Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup
The Entrees Royale dishes consist of:
- Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup with steamed rice, carbonara rice cakes, and a Disney Friends cookie
- Abalone Conpoy and Chicken Fried Rice.
The kids’ meal is the same as the International kids meal. You can also get a side of Dim Sum here.
Klook.comAt the Grill counter you can get:
- Roasted Half Chicken
- Premium Mixed Grill with beef steak, chicken thigh, and Kasekrainer sausage
- Baked Vegetable Potato Cake with cherry tomato quinoa salad.
The kids’ meal is the same as the kids meal in the international and entrees royale counters.

Roasted Half Chicken
Finally, the Japan counter dishes consist of:
- Pork Belly Ramen in Pork Bone Soup with dumplings, crab roe salad, Mickey egg, seaweed, bamboo shoot, and fish cake
- Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura Ramen in Bonito Soup with crab roe egg roll, Mickey egg, seaweed, bamboo shoot, fish cake, turnip
- Miso Halibut Combo with onigiri, crab roe salad, mushrooms, Mickey egg, and Japanese pickles.
The kids’ meal is a Crispy Chicken with Seaweed Onigiri with Mickey egg, crab roe salad, and a marshmallow cookie. The sides are either Japanese dumplings or Chicken wings.

Miso Halibut Combo
When we were there we had the Meat Lover’s Pizza, the Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, The Roasted Half Chicken, the Miso Halibut Combo, and the Mushroom Tortellini. The Meat Lovers Pizza was such a big improvement from their previous mickey shaped pizza. Still not the best pizza in the world, but I’d actually recommend getting it now. The Korean Ginseng was also incredibly tasty, but be warned that it’s a lot of soup that can spill as you bring your food to your table.
The Roasted Half Chicken is tied with the Fried Chicken at Starliner for the best Chicken option at the park, and the Miso Halibut Combo is made up of so many delicious small dishes. The Mushroom Tortellini is also creamy and filling. All in all, there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t like, which convinced us more that this is the best of the Hong Kong Disneyland counter-service restaurants.

Meat Lover Pizza
There’s ample indoor seating in this restaurant, but you’re going to want to dine early if you want to get an inside table. I recommend eating at 11:30 to make sure you get one. They also have trolleys which can fit 3 trays which makes bringing your food to your table so much easier and convenient. The theming of the restaurant is beautiful. Statues of Disney princes and princesses adorn the different areas of the restaurant, which also has stained glass and murals. Truly a magical place to dine and it lives up to the “royal” in its name.
Most of the dishes are around HK$150-HK$165 in price, with the most expensive reaching HK$200. I think it’s the best value in the entire resort. You get all these dishes for around the same price as a burger at Starliner Diner. So not only is the food good, but it’s also relatively affordable. It’s for all these reasons that it’s the top dog among the Hong Kong Disneyland counter-service restaurants.
