Shanghai Disneyland snacks on the whole are very good. During my most recent trip, on the busiest day I experienced crowd-wise, I decided to go around the park and try the different snack options they had since the lines for rides were relatively long. I sampled many different snacks from all corners of the park, and I was able to compile a list of my absolute favorite snacks that I tried.

I wouldn’t say that Shanghai Disneyland has a better snack selection than, say, Epcot or Disneyland, but I think it greatly surpasses other parks like Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. It’s probably on par with Hong Kong Disneyland in terms of snacks. Shanghai Disneyland snacks are also some of the cheapest, with prices being below Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland, but more expensive than Tokyo. There’s a lot of variety when it comes to Shanghai Disneyland snacks, with some truly inspired dishes that had me wanting to grab seconds.
But alas, not every snack was made equal, and if you’re on a strict budget and can only afford to purchase 1-2 snacks each day in the park, then you’ll want to know which snacks are the best. That’s where this list comes in! Hopefully this top 10 Shanghai Disneyland snacks list will be able to help you pick and choose which snacks to try on your visit to the park.
Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Shanghai Disneyland Snacks Honorable Mentions

I have two honorable mentions in my Shanghai Disneyland snacks ranking. They’re by no means bad snacks, I just so happened to enjoy other snacks a lot more. My tastes could change, though, as I’m basing my ranking of these snacks on how I was feeling the day I had them. I bet if I had them on another day, they might have ended up higher on this list.
Honorable Mention 1: Crispy Nutella Croissant Biscuit from Chipmunk Snacks, Adventure Isle
Current Price: RMB$50 / US$7.36

Located near the entrance to Roaring Rapids, Chipmunk Snacks is home to our first Honorable Mention: the Crispy Nutella Croissant Biscuit. This snack is basically Nutella slathered between two thin (but incredibly large) biscuits. It honestly wasn’t my favorite, mostly because the biscuit was so dry and there wasn’t enough Nutella in it to offset the dryness. Still, I’m a huge Nutella fan so this still had to end up in the honorable mentions. Make sure you share this snack, however, as it is pretty large.
Honorable Mention 2: American Cheese Hotdog Combo from Timothy’s Treats, Gardens of Imagination
Current Price: RMB$80 / US$11.78 (inclusive of a drink)

This snack can be found near the Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction. To my knowledge it is the only snack cart in the park where you can get a traditional American-style hot dog. I opted for the regular cheese hotdog, which I found to be pretty good. The cheese paired really well with the hotdog, which was a bit salty (which I like). The only reason why this isn’t higher up on this list is mostly because it’s your typical theme park hotdog and is nothing special otherwise. Still, it’s good, and I highly recommend trying it if you’re craving a hot dog.

Now that we got those two honorable mentions out of the way, it’s time for the Top 10 Shanghai Disneyland snacks and treats! I feel this list best represents both the snack quality and the snack variety you can find at Shanghai Disneyland. So without further ado, here’s the Top 10!
10. The Mini Big Donut from Jumbeaux’s Cafe, Zootopia
Current Price: RMB$58 / US$8.54

I am a sucker for a good chocolate donut, and as far as chocolate donuts go these were pretty good! I opted for the smaller donuts rather than the big donut as I didn’t want to carry around a big donut in case I couldn’t finish it. I ended up eating all 3 donuts in one go anyway as they were so good. The chocolate wasn’t too sweet and the donut itself was fluffy. Overall a great little snack that you can share if you happen to be hungry in Zootopia land.
9. Freshly Baked Egg Tarts from Troubadour Treats, Fantasyland
Current Price: RMB$50 / US$7.36

I love egg tarts, so when I found out that they sold freshly baked ones in Fantasyland, I knew I had to try them. And I am so glad I did. It was very decadent with a sweet egg custard that was served hot and with a buttery, crispy crust on the outside. One serving came with 3 egg tarts, so it’s the perfect small snack to share with your party as a quick energizer for the day. Just like the donuts, I ended up eating all three at once because they were just that good.
8. Gelato in a Quacky Crunchy Gelato Cone from Il Paperino, Mickey Avenue
Current Price: RMB$68 / US$10.01

There are many different flavors of gelato that you can get at Il Paperino, but I decided to try a scoop of chocolate gelato in a cone. This was excellent gelato. Creamy, sweet, and really rich. My only gripe with it was that it melts really fast, but that was more due to the weather than the gelato itself. The cone it came in was also good but I’m not normally the biggest fan of cones so it’s unfair for me to judge it based on that. This is without a doubt the best place for a quick sweet treat in the park!
7. Pastries from CookieAnn Bakery Cafe, Mickey Avenue
Prices vary.

I’m not going to single out a single pastry here. Instead I’m going to lump them all together because I came here every single day for breakfast and every pastry I had did not disappoint. From cookies and croissants to muffins and brownies, every baked good in this restaurant was so delicate in the best way. My favorite has to be the Mickey Mouse chocolate muffin (obviously, as a chocolate fan) but any of the pastries in this shop are good.
6. Pineapple and BBQ Chicken Sandwich from Star Trail Snacks, Tomorrowland
Current Price: RMB$68 / US$10.01

This was less a sandwich and more a slab of chicken drizzled all over with a pineapple salad. And for some reason, it completely works! Located in Star Trail Snacks in Tomorrowland, this unique Shanghai Disneyland snack should satisfy both barbecue and pineapple fans. The zesty tang of the pineapple pairs surprisingly well with the smoky BBQ chicken. All in all a tasty treat and one that you should definitely consider trying if you need a pick-me-up during your Shanghai Disneyland day.
Klook.com5. Chocolate Rice Crispy Bar from Jumbeaux’s Cafe, Zootopia
Current Price: RMB$98 / US$14.43

The second Zootopia snack to appear on this Shanghai Disneyland snacks ranking, the Chocolate Rice Crispy Bar is essentially the Jumbo Pop from the movie. I bought the smaller version and it was still the size of my head. This was basically a sweet, chocolate-y rice crispy. The presentation is the best part of this snack, in my opinion, but the actual rice crispy itself is also a lot better than it had to be. It is big so share with others or snack on it throughout the day.
4. Portobello and BBQ Pork Sandwich from Lotso Lunch Box, Toy Story Land
Current Price: RMB$85 / US$12.52

The only snack among all the Shanghai Disneyland snacks on this list to be found in Toy Story Land, the Portobello and BBQ Pork Sandwich is a treat for the taste buds. As evidenced by my other pick on this list, I am a very big barbecue fan and this tasted as sweet as the other barbecue dish on this list. But paired with the earthy portobello mushrooms and you have a winner of a snack. You could actually make this a whole meal with how big the portion sizing of this snack is.
3. Disney Zootopia Pawpsicle from Jumbeaux’s Cafe, Zootopia
Current Price: RMB$45 / US$6.63

My personal favorite sweet treat on this Shanghai Disneylands snacks list, you can find the Hawthorne-flavored Pawpsicle in the Zootopia land in the park. They apparently sell this in other snack carts throughout the park, but I only saw it here. The Pawpsicle is sweet and fruity, with the Hawthrone-flavor being very new and familiar to me at the same time. Also, in addition to being good, this snack is fun to use as a prop when taking photos around Zootopia
2. Winnie the Pooh Beef and Mushroom Ragout Sandwich from Pooh and Friends Treats, Fantasyland
Current Price: RMB$75 / US$11.04

The cutest part about this snack is that the bread looks like Winnie the Pooh. Unsurprisingly, the sandwich tastes as good as it looks, with the tender, flavorful beef mixing well with the savory and meaty mushroom ragout. I actually almost came back for seconds because I enjoyed this sandwich so much. It’s the perfect blend of superb presentation and delectable flavor, and is one snack you should definitely try on your visit.
1. Takoyaki with Grilled Squid from The Snackin Kraken, Treasure Cove
Current Price: RMB$55 / US$8.10

The undisputed king of Shanghai Disneyland snacks has to be the Takoyaki with Grilled Squid at Snackin Kraken. The fishy, tangy taste of the takoyaki pairs well with the seafood-y taste of the grilled squid. Now of course, if you’re not a fan of seafood, you might not like this one, but if you’ve never had takoyaki before I would highly recommend giving it a try! This is another snack I regret not going back for, and is without a doubt the best snack among all the Shanghai Disneyland snacks I had on my trip.
